Our Story
Founded in 2022 by a team of passionate game designers and technology enthusiasts, The Hidden Room emerged from a simple vision: to revolutionize the escape room experience in Australia. What started as a weekend hobby project between university friends quickly evolved into Australia's most innovative entertainment venture.
Our journey began when co-founders Alexandra Chen and Marcus Webber attended an escape room conference in Tokyo and were inspired by the potential to blend cutting-edge technology with traditional puzzle-solving. They returned to Sydney with a mission to create experiences that would challenge not just the mind, but engage all the senses.
After two years of meticulous planning, prototype testing, and gathering a world-class team of designers, engineers, and storytellers, we opened our doors in 2024.
